I was expecting this to be a catalog to accompany the Vancouver Art Gallery's Haida exhibit, but it is more like an illustrated literary anthology than a catalog. I'm pretty excited to read the next two books and see what happens; we're left with something of a cliffhanger in this book that's pretty abrupt, but I guess it makes sense seeing as from book . This is a very worthwhile book. Very disappointed to receive this book with an entirely different and virtually impossible to read dust jacket. One of my favorites parts of the book is realizing who the main character actually is, and who the story is named after. 2 O mind, love the Lord, as the rain bird loves rain. As such, gluttonous consumption of the story will likely leave the bingeing reader with a strong sense of literary indigestion. Written in a lively,engaging prose.
